Abraham Lincoln, one of the most inspirational presidents in history, believed that all slaves should be freed political, social, and legal restrictions and also deserved a program where they could be freed gradually. Still believing emancipating was the best way, he wanted to influence the legislators. In order for him to gain full support of the legislature, he offered to go to the slave owners to convince them to release their "property." Support was planned for the near future to come.
The Emancipation Proclamation is an order, by Abraham Lincoln, issuing all segments of the Executive Branch of the United States on January 1, 1863 and during the American Civil War. Lincoln made issues and offers regarding the freedom of slaves to come into the United States and to be free, but the Confederates did not accept any of them. This inspired Abraham to present the Emancipation Proclamation.
The outcome did not go as far as he thought, but it did allow civil rights to go further. Not all of the slaves had been freed, but only the ones who are in the states and are not under the Union were. But they were able to serve as soldiers to fight for the Union. The Emancipation Proclamation was just the beginning for slaves to be set free.
